William Fowler

William “Bill” H. Fowler, age 83 of Harrisville, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 16, 1933 in Madison to Hubert and Helen (Mickelson) Fowler. Bill married Janice Gullickson on March 12, 1960 in Dubuque, Iowa. He worked at Gardner’s Bakery in Madison for 25 years and Marquette County Highway Department for 14 years before retiring. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jan; two children, Steve (Sandy), Harrisville and Diane (Chris) Fowler, FL; one granddaughter, Christina Fowler, Oxford; one great granddaughter, Cindy Fowler; two brothers, Patrick (Gloria), Sun Prairie and James (Carol), Hollandale; niece, Jodi (Monte) Fowler, Hollandale; special friend, Renee; many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, David and special niece, Wendy Fowler.

A memorial service for Bill will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Harrisville with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. John Lutheran Church, Harrisville.
