William Cullen

William “Bill” D. Cullen, age 72 of Westfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 27, 2009 in Arizona. He was born on September 13, 1936 in Mitchell, Iowa, son of the late William M. and Lucy (Curin) Cullen. Bill married Sharon Kopp on August 9, 1958 in Montello. He worked as an accountant his entire life for several area businesses. Bill was a charter member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Westfield and a member of the Westfield Volunteer Fire Department. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; five children, Theresa (Larry) Hirsch, Atascadero, CA, Tim (Christine) Cullen, Milwaukee, Chris (Cheri) Cullen, Monterey, CA, Michael (Corky) Cullen, Portage and Linda Johnson, Hartford; nine grandchildren, Marcus, Chad, Chase, Taylor, Micah, Brandon, Jack, Mercedes and Hazel; two brothers, Gerald (Nancy), CA and David (Lisa), WA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass for Bill will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Westfield with Rev. Michael Richel officiating. Inurnment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
