Virginia L. Jones

Virginia “Ginger” L. Jones, age 63, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 8, 2023 in Montello, WI. She was born on June 12, 1960 in Twin Lakes, WI. Ginger graduated from Wilmont High School, class of 1978. From a very young age she loved animals and would bring all kinds of “pets” home, much to her parents’ surprise. Ginger spent her days taking care of horses, reading an endless amount of books, and swimming at the local lake with her sister. She had held many positions in her professional career, but the one she cherished most was working as a Special Education assistant in an elementary school in Virginia. In her last few months, Ginger fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a farm and acres of land in Wisconsin.

Ginger will forever be loved and deeply missed by her loving husband of 11 years, Tony Jones; mother, Linda Miller; sister, Elizabeth (Rob) Gridley; daughter, Valerie (Jeremiah) McKinney, and son, Benjamin (Cait) Aquino. She was the proud grandmother of Charlie, Henry, Elijah, Oliver, and Margaret McKinney. Aunt to Aly Gridley and Reid Gridley. Ginger was preceded in death by her father, John C. Miller. 

Per Ginger’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
