Vincent Cacic

Vincent T. Cacic, age 75 of Montello, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Wild Rose Manor, Wild Rose. He was born on July 19, 1933 in Lyons, IL, son of the late Michael and Joanna (Cebry) Cacic.
Vincent moved with his family from IL to the family farm in Montello in March 1946. He served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps serving two tours of duty during the Korean War receiving a purple heart. He also enjoyed deer hunting on the family farm.
Survivors include three brothers, Stephen, Westmont, IL, Nicholas (Lorraine), Montello and Walter (Marlene) Cacic, Montello; sister-in-law, Rita Cacic, Montello; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Concialdi and two brothers, Joseph and Donald Cacic.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello with Rev. Michael Richel officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Montello. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
