Tori Cywin

Tori A. Cywin, age 17 of Westfield, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Montello. She was born on April 21, 1995 in Portage.

Tori’s sister Kirstin was one of her idols. They would fight, but the love these two sisters had for each other was undeniable. Tori was quite a poet. She used written words to express the overwhelming need to let people know how much she loved them or sometimes how they let her down. She has even been published. She was a great singer who loved to sing with her cousin Ashley. Tori believed in complete honesty. Her feeling on life was to experience everything you can. She made people feel loved even if they didn’t love themself.

Tori spent time with the residents at Harris Villa where her grandmother Christina works. She also loved children. Two of her favorites were Jackston and Jillian. She babysat them for the past couple of years. Tori was very athletic and outgoing. Her very bubbly personality made everyone feel alive and she could light up a room.

Tori is survived by her mother, Pamela Cywin; sister, Kirstin Cywin; grandmother, Christina Kollaszar; uncle, Kevin (Tracy)Kollaszar and their children, Ashley and Julia; father, Jason Cywin; aunt, Sarah (Chris) Nicholson and their children, Zachary and Julia; grandparents, David and Linda Cywin; great-grandfather, Clifford Cywin and many other relatives and friends. Tori was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Kollaszar and great-grandmother, Eleanor Cywin.

A memorial service for Tori will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 in the Westfield Area High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. J. Mark Hensley officiating. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

As her mother, I will have a hard time going on but anyone who knew Tori knew she was a fighter so I will be too. She was our Tori-girl, she was our angel. Tori will be missed but never forgotten. She is gone too soon!
