Thomas Giese

Thomas E. Giese, age 81 of Harrisville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.  He was born on October 26, 1936 in Harrisville to George and Louise (Miller) Giese.  Tom married Rita (Connolly) Fravel on November 26, 1983.  He was a hard worker and always had to keep busy.  Tom was still working until recently, driving truck for Jaster’s Ag-Supply.  He enjoyed making things out of wood and he made something for each of his grandchildren and great granddaughter.  Tom loved to go out to eat with his wife, Rita.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; four children, Mike, Mark (Nancy), Kay (Bill Richards) Giese and Paul (Ashley); four step children, Theresa (Dean) Brandner, Andrea Bielby, Shawn (Ellen) and Brian (Lori) Fravel; many grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother, Ken (Linda) Giese; other relatives and friends.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Leslie and step son, Kean Fravel.

A memorial visitation for Tom will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Tom will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Westfield with Father Savio Yerasani officiating.  Inurnment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Montello at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family.
