Shirley Thrasher

Shirley Jean Thrasher, age 62 of Westfield, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 20, 1952 in Evansville, IN to Eugene and Wanda (Killough) Brammer. Shirley served three years in the United States Marine Corps where she met her husband, Randy. She enjoyed traveling with her husband that spanned 30 years until his retirement. From military service her favorite quote was “I’d love to live life in the fast lane but I’m married to a speed bump”.

Survivors include her husband of almost 40 years, Randy; three children, Kelly Thrasher, Adams, Troy (Krista) Thrasher, Appleton and Haley Thrasher, Westfield; four grandchildren, Cyrus Thrasher, Sierra Ratliff, Oliver Thrasher and Ruby Thrasher; three sisters, Sherry Hager, AZ, Lorraine (Gary) Braun, FL and Elaine Boerner, IN; brother in law, David Thrasher and sister in law, Connie Thrasher, both of Westfield; other relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marlene Brammer.

According to Shirley’s wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family gathering will be held on a warm summer day.
