Sandra "Sandy" Weir

Sandra “Sandy” Jean (Snow) Weir, aka “Dia” and “Mrs. Hannigan”, age 77 of Harrisville, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 8, 2018.  She was born on December 31, 1940 along with her twin brother, David in Milwaukee to Elmer and Dorothy (Bean) Snow.

Sandy attended Oconto Falls High School before moving to Westfield in 1959, where she met and married the love of her life, Dale Weir.  She had many talents including carpentry, which she learned by watching her father.  Sandy also loved farming with Dale, watching football, especially the Packers, playing cards with her family and playing the lottery.

Sandy is survived by four children, Angel Weir, Westfield, Margaret Suter, Madison, Josh (Judy) Weir, Cottage Grove and Heather (Shawn) Weir, Westfield; one step son, Jim (Lisa) Thompson, Westfield; 12 grandchildren, Jordan, Richard, Michael, Sarah, Leigh, Stacy, Jenny, B.J., Dylan, Adrian, Justin and Jessica; four great grandchildren; two brothers, John (Sylva) and Mark (Annie) Snow; two sisters,, Mary Jo Rickel and Rebecca Pike; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Basil; three brothers, George, her twin David and Jim and her beloved dog, Maggie.

Sandy’s wishes were to be cremated.  A memorial gathering will be held this spring/summer at the family farm.
