Sadie Krueger

Sadie Grace Krueger, age 89 of Township of Newton, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Harris Villa, Township of Harris. She was born on February 1, 1920, Township of Newton, daughter of the late Julius and Minnie (Reitz) Slife. Sadie married Arnold W. Krueger On April 22, 1950, Township of Newton. She worked as a housewife, raised four children and worked on the family farm with her husband. Sadie was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake where she was in the women’s group and enjoyed making quilts with the ladies, taught and was Superintendant of the Sunday school and served as janitor of the church with her husband for many years. She moved to Harris Villa on February 22, 2007 and her family would like to thank Nan and her staff and the staff of Northland Home Health for the wonderful care she received.
Survivors include her four children, Delores (Kenneth) Bruch, Hancock, Millie (Philip) Bruchs, Coloma, Ronnie (Beverly) Krueger, Berlin and Gerald (fiancée, Georgia Cummins), Wautoma; three grandchildren, Brian Krueger, Boston, MA, Lori Krueger, Fridley, MN and Amber Krueger, Neenah; one great granddaughter, Alexis Paige Krueger, Neenah; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; sisters and brothers in law, Minnie Slife, Norma (Walter) Standke and Emma (Walter) Lange.
A funeral service for Sadie will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake with Rev. Chuck Fluegel officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Crystal Lake. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield and on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
