Rudolph Filip Jr

Rudolph “Rudy” Filip Jr., age 64 of Westfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2016 at his home. He was born on January 6, 1952 in Berwyn, Illinois to Rudolph and Caroline (Wilson) Filip Sr. Rudy married Ellie Miller on October 23, 1980 in Montello. He worked in Maintenance at Brakebush Brothers for many years and was currently working at Weaver Auto Parts in Westfield. Rudy enjoyed hunting, fixing old cars and tractors, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Ellie; two children, Michelle (Craig) Grant, Westfield and Christopher (Kayla) Filip, Salem; four grandchildren, Zackery Peterson, Gavin Grant, Bennett and Andrew Filip; one great granddaughter, Ezme Steege; one brother, Walter Sedgwick, IL; best friend, Dennis (Ramona) Wachholtz, Harrisville; many other relatives and friends. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Rudy will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield. No formal service will be held.
