Royce Glyn Pugh, age 82 of Westfield, passed away on October 18, 2010 at Divine Savior Hospital. He was born December 20, 1927 at home on a farm in Boonsville, Texas to C.P. and Eunice (Walker) Pugh. Royce was active in work for the Boys Clubs of America, Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Forest Service and finally the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After retirement he was in volunteer work with the Marquette County Commission on Aging, Bay Area Commission on Aging, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and Federal Prison Retirees Association. His real passion was field trials with his beagles. He was a member of Central WI Beagle Club in WI Rapids and the WI Beagle Club in Rio. He is survived by his son Lee (Wanda) Pugh, Granddaughters Misty Dawn Pugh and Brandy Leigh Pugh of Corpus Christi Texas and 6 great-grandchildren also of Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Mary Lee Pugh and a daughter Cora Beth.
A funeral service for Royce will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, Westfield with Rev. William Dow officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
