Rose Turgeon

May 23, 1931 — April 25, 2010

Biography Rose Marie Turgeon, age 78 died on April 25th, 2010 at Berlin Memorial Hospital. She was born May 23rd,1931, and was the daughter of Rosalie and Edward Yert. In her adult life she traveled to many places, but she always considered Kenosha, WI her home. After residing in Kenosha for many years, Rose moved to the Montello area in September of 2002 to be closer to family. At the time of her death she was residing at Joanie's Assisted Living in Montello.
While in Kenosha, Rose was employed as a legal secretary for the public defender’s office in Lake County, Ill. In her spare time Rose enjoyed writing poetry and eventually had her works published in three books of her own. Rose was a long time member of Kenosha Bible Church until her move to Montello.
Rose is survived by her three children Carolyn (Arnold) Bowen from California, Bryan (Debbie) Turgeon from Montello, and Kristel (Troy) Pruitt from Florida along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Rosalie and Edward along with her son Rick Turgeon and her daughter Valerie Boyd.
A funeral service for Rose will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Marquette Community Church, Montello with Pastor Kirt Schmidt officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenridge Cemetery, Kenosha.
