Robert Rozek

Robert J. Rozek, age 61 of the Township of Harris, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Montello Care Center. He was born on August 9, 1947 in Portage, son of the late Leo and Gladys (Byrne) Rozek. Bob married Judy Jakusz on April 4, 1970 in Stevens Point. He has worked on the family farm, Montello Co-op, Westfield Equipment, Howard Rosanske Farm and has been a self employed mechanic. Bob was a member of Harris Volunteer Fire Department, Harrisville Lions Club and the Harrisville Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and maintaining and operating the Eliminator for tractor pulls.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; son, Mike Rozek, Harrisville; five aunts, Veronica Leese, AZ, Marion Rozek, Berlin, Georgia Krueger, Berlin, Genevieve Hoeft, Watertown and Betty Mendenhall, FL; uncle, George (Carol) Byrne, Berlin; his “girls”, Pippy and Baby; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
A memorial mass for Bob will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello with Rev. Michael Richel officiating. Inurnment will be in Harrisville Cemetery, Township of Harris. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
