Robert Klapoetke

Robert S. Klapoetke "Bob", age 62 of Township of Harris, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at home. He was born on August 12, 1944 in Portage, son of Sylvester and Esther (Porter) Klapoetke. Bob married Song Cao in 1998. He served his country in the U.S. Navy followed by 13 years with the Department of Defense. He enjoyed his free time by spending it in the outdoors fishing, hunting, making fishing lures and working in his orchard.
Survivors include his wife, Song; four children, Dawn Velliquette, CA, Kim (Mike) Caldwell, CA, Nate (Michelle) Klapoetke, Mayville, Nathan C. Klapoetke, Madison; seven grandchildren, Zach, Jake and Brock Velliquette, Jordyn and Lauryn Caldwell, Brayden and Beau Klapoetke; his mother, Esther Klapoetke, Township of Harris; two sisters, Clarice (Harvey) Sessler, Milton, Karn (Lyle) Quick, Salem, four brothers, David (Nadine), Township of Harris, Richard (Irene), Stevens Point, Dennis (Jane), Township of Harris and Almon ( Heidi) Klapoetke, Township of Harris and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester Klapoetke.
A funeral service for Robert will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 12:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Sheldon Cemetery, Township of Harris, Marquette County. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.
