Raymond Cass

Raymond L. Cass, age 67 of Westfield, formerly of Madison, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at a Madison Hospital. He was born in Madison on September 20, 1938, the son of Lenard and Anna (Kriel) Cass. Ray was united in marriage to Mary Jane Fara on May 22, 1965. He was employed as a machinist at H-R Auto Parts for many years. Ray loved the outdoors and enjoyed his retirement home in Westfield. Ray and Mary Jane retired to Westfield in 1991 where they loved to garden and enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane, Westfield; two daughters, Christina (Roy) Squire, Middleton and Nanette (Don) Gray, Oregon; two grandchildren; one step grandchild; one brother, William (Lucy) Cass, Dane and many nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
It was Ray's wish to be cremated, therefore a funeral service will not be held. A celebration remembering Ray was held for family and friends on Sunday, July 30th, 2006 at his daughter's home. Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Westfield served the family.
