Rae Ann Martin, age 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly Rapid City, South Dakota and Westfield, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, October 9, 2020 in Louisville. She was born on March 24, 1932 in Milwaukee, daughter of Veda (Nelson) and Harvey Dahlke who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, David Martin, wife Aiveen and John Martin, wife Karen; grandchildren, Mandy Collins, husband Craig, Stephanie Messinger, husband Trask, Tim Martin, Tiffany Martin, Challise Martin; step-grandchildren, Jamie Knapp, husband Luke, Jennifer Johnson, Alissa Johnson, and Michael Alexander Ryan; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Blake Collins, and step great grandchildren, Riley, Aubrey, and Lucas Knapp, Carter and Camden Johnson, Declan Rezac and Morgan Mathieu.
Rae Ann was also preceded in death by former husband, Kenneth Martin and daughter-in-law, Teresa Ann (Leeka) Martin.
Rae Ann enjoyed cooking, gardening, bird-watching, and listening to music. In her early years she was a choir director in church and loved to play the piano. She also loved spending time watching old movies and reading scripture. She was an avid sports fan and lifelong supporter of the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers.
A graveside service for Rae Ann will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Westfield South Cemetery with Rev. Janet Ruark officiating.
