Phyllis Retzlaff

Phyllis M. Retzlaff, age 82 of Packwaukee, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home. She was born on August 21, 1934 in Kenosha to Lawrence and Virginia (Rosenstock) Van Patten. Phyllis married Bradley Retzlaff on October 26, 1974 in Kenosha. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Packwaukee along with the Ladies Aid. Phyllis was also a member of the Red Hatters. She was an avid snowmobiler for 45 years. Phyllis loved camping, boating, the great outdoors and her family.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Brad; three children, Michael (Kelly) Pekoske, Joan (Jim) Zich and Robert Pekoske; one step son, Dean (Kathy Wojtas) Retzlaff; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Janice (Don) Schubert; four brothers, Lawrence, Jim (Connie), Bill and Bob (Becky) Van Patten; sister in law, Sharron Van Patten; many other relatives and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Pekoske; brother, Jerry Van Patten and two sisters in law, Marlene and Wally Van Patten.

A visitation for Phyllis will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Packwaukee and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the church.

A funeral service for Phyllis will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Packwaukee with Rev. Larry Sheppard officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha.
