Philip L. Rank, age 72 of Westfield, peacefully entered eternal life on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. He was born on November 18, 1938 in Portage, son of the late Anthony and Frances (Yonke) Rank. Philip proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Cutler-Hammer/Eaton Corp. for over 30 years. Philip was an avid hunter taking many beautiful trophies from all over the world. He made many friends throughout his travels. He was a founding member of One Shot Hunt Club, South Africa raising funds to assist local schools. Survivors include his daughter, Tanya (Dave) Skorstad, Menomonee Falls; one step-son, Luis (Sandra) Castillo, AZ; three grandchildren, Emily Skorstad, Christina and Luis III Castillo; three sisters, Monica (Robert) Bolle, Judith (Philip) Fritz, Mary (Bill) Rodger; three brothers, Donald, James and David (Cindy) Rank; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Philip was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Margaret Rank.
A funeral service for Philip will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Westfield with Pastor Barb Merwin and Executive Presbyter Rev. Ken Meunier officiating. Interment will be in Westfield South Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Memorials are appreciated to First Presbyterian Church, Westfield.
