Peter Kraus

Peter P. Kraus, age 80 of Montello, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.  He was born on November 18, 1941 in Milwaukee to Edward and Enid (Baysinger) Kraus.  Peter married Lois Wangerin on July 17, 1965 in Cedarburg.  He took great pride in earning his apprenticeship as a machinist/machine repairman and working in the field for over 30 years.  Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing, serving his community and he especially loved his family.

Peter is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois; two sons, Michael (Keri) and their children, Emily and Will and David and his children, James, Katie and David; one great granddaughter, Maeve; one sister, Susan (Lou); one brother, Frank; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Martha and Kathy; two brothers, Jim and Bill; sister-in-law, Nancy.

A visitation for Peter will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Harrisville from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Feeding America.
