Nancy Becker

June 2, 1935 — July 20, 2018

Westfield

Nancy Ann (Tyree) Becker, age 83 of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Harris Villa Assisted Living.  Nancy was born June 2, 1935 to Daniel & Lorraine in Antigo, WI.  She grew up in Racine and attended college in Whitewater earning her teaching credentials.  She married Robert (Bob) Becker on August 24, 1957 and they had four children.  Nancy was a school teacher and Principal and went on to be a substitute teacher for several years.  When they lived in Milwaukee she worked for the telephone company first as a directory assistance operator and later in customer service and fraud investigation.  In the late 1970’s they moved to Westfield where they built a home and a business.  Nancy took care of the books for Becker Auto Service for many years and then started her own business, Nancy’s New to You.  She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church serving in the Sunday school and as the Treasurer for many years.

Taking care of her children and home were her highest priority and then later, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the brightest lights in her life.  She could be counted on to care for any of them at a moment’s notice.  Bob & Nancy enjoyed over 60 years together, living in several communities before settling in Westfield.  They loved to travel by motorhome with friends and visiting casinos where ever they went.  Later they built a new home in the Village of Westfield together as their retirement home.  Nancy went to live at Harris Villa after suffering a stroke and developing dementia.  Bob spent time with her there every day until he passed away.  She will be missed and remembered by her family and friends.

Survivors include her three children, Joni (John) Wilson, Westfield, Tom (Dorothy) Becker, Westfield and Iris Winslow, Washington; seven grandchildren, Erik Becker, Lindsay (Ryan) Becker, Jacob (Stephanie) Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Kristie (Joe) Reichard, Kimberly Becker and Kelsey Becker; five great grandchildren, Maddie  and Haylie Becker, Josie, Jessa and Jase Wilson; one brother, Daniel “Bud” (Diane) Tyree; one sister, Barbara Colbert; many other relatives and friends.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband and son, Robert Becker Jr.
