Myrtle A. Jungenberg, age 87 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, November, 10, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society in Lodi. She was born on October 5, 1925 in Waupun, daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Grant) Roller. Myrtle grew up in Oxford. She married Russell Jungenberg on November 6, 1941 in Wisconsin Dells, he preceded her in death on April 3, 1988. She was a member of the Oxford VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #6003 and Portage Rod & Gun Club. Myrtle enjoyed dancing and Uncle Ozzies Polka Band music.
Survivors include her special friend, Ray Betts, Madison; four children, John (Cheryl) Roller, Oxford, Ronald (Pat Hoskins) Jungenberg, Fall River, Caroljean Jungenberg, Lodi and Shirley (Vern) Sjoberg, Clark, SD; 12 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; sister in law, Alice Roller, Arroyo Grande, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Myrtle was preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Lee Jungenberg and Marjorie Osborne; one son, Raymond Jungenberg; one granddaughter, Peggy Lee Roller Shier; two grandsons, Robert Jungenberg and Brian Roller; two brothers, John Henry and Bill Roller; son in law, Dennis Carlson Sr. and brother in law, Vincent Jungenberg.
A funeral service for Myrtle will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield with Rev. Steve Corbett officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Village Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
