Michael “Mike” Kazmer, age 70 of Westfield, passed away after a long, gallant fight with cancer on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at UW Hospital in Madison. Mike was born in Chicago on November 8, 1950, to Mitchell and Annette Kazmer. Mike is a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army Headquarters division earning his E5.
Mike retired to Westfield in 2004 with his wife Dianne. Living in Westfield with all its beautiful nature brought Mike joy. Long drives on the back roads looking at scenery were always the right direction to go. He was an avid bowler, and enormous Packer fan and loved his family, friends, and dogs. He will be greatly missed by all.
Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dianne Kazmer; his daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ken Cornwall; his grandsons, Kenneth and Michael Cornwall; his sister, Carol Bleske; his brother, Thomas (Sandy) Kazmer; many loved nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service for Mike will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield with Pastor Sandy Cornwall officiating. Full military honors will be held at the funeral home following the service. A visitation will be held from 12 noon until the hour of service.
