Mary Lou Byers

Mary Lou Byers, age 77 of Oxford, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at her home.  She was born on September 24, 1945 in Portage, WI to Lester and Edith (MacKenzie) Lloyd. Mary Lou married Delmar Byers on November 14, 1969 in Nashua, Iowa at The Little Brown Church.  She owned her own beauty salon at her home in Oxford for many years.  Mary Lou then went on to work for the Adams Marquette Veterinary Clinic in Oxford.  She was a member of the Oxford Lioness Club and a long outstanding member of the Oxford VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #6003.  Mary Lou enjoyed going to the casino with Delmar and spending time with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter.

Mary Lou is survived by her two children, Trent (Tracie Tischer) and Tara (Steven) Rasmussen; four grandchildren, Brittany (Arjun Sharma) and Alyssa (Miquel Velazquez) Byers and Brandon (Jordyn) and Taylor (Haeden Splinter) Rasmussen; great granddaughter, Peyton Rasmussen; her beloved dog, Sally; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marge Kelsey; two brothers, Myron and Merlin Lloyd.
