Marian Erd

Marian "Windy" Erd, age 70 of Rural Montello, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on October 31, 1935 in Racine, daughter of the late Walter and Julia (nee Walter) Carney. Windy married Russell W. Erd on October 1, 1955 in Milwaukee, he preceded her in death on June 23, 1995. She moved to rural Montello in 1959 with her husband. Windy owned and operated Windywares Trophys and RusWin Ranch in Packwaukee for several years. She was very active in the Badger Horseshow Association and Marquette County 4-H. Windy had an extreme love for her flower garden, cats, her dog, shadow, horses, the Green Bay Packers "Go Donald Driver" and especially her loving family and friends.
Survivors include one son, Mark (Jean) Erd, Menomonee Falls; three daughters, Vicky Wruck, Florida Keys, Desiree (Paul) Voight, NC and Lisa (Robert) Thompson, Portage; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Daniel, Steven, Nicholas, Brittany, Brian and Joey; three sisters, Kathy, Ruth "Penny" and Linda; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by an infant son and one sister, Patricia.
A visitation for Windy will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM with Msgr. John Hebl officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Township of Packwaukee. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in Windy's name for the Donald Driver Foundation, www.donalddriverfoundation.com. Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Westfield is serving the family.
