Lila Manthey

Lila E. Manthey, age 92 of Westfield, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.  She was born on September 4, 1927 in the Town of Shields, WI to Edward and Elsie (Briese) Wegenke.  Lila married Edward L. Manthey on October 17, 1948 in Montello.  She worked on the family farm in the Town of Springfield for many years prior to retiring and moving to Westfield in 1987.  Lila was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield.  She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and doing puzzles.

Survivors include her two children, Patsy (Harry) Manning, Friendship and Dennis (Anna) Manthey, Westfield; one grandson, Jason Manthey; four great grandchildren, Austin, Alivia, Alexis and Brandon; one sister, Florence Dahlke; one sister in law, Alfreda Wegenke; other relatives and friends.  Lila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother, Harvey Wegenke.

A graveside service for Lila will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Westfield East Cemetery with Rev. Gary H. Schultz officiating.
