Biography Lila M. Frozene, age 94 of Westfield, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Villa Pines in Friendship where she had resided for the past four years. She was born on November 28, 1918 in Adams County, daughter of the late Henry and Adella (Maynard) Bandt. Lila married William Frozene on November 11, 1935 in Coloma, he preceded her in death on March 31, 1996. She worked as a cook and store clerk at area establishments, was a housewife along with being a wonderful mother and grandmother. Lila was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Merna), Westfield and Robert (Kathy), Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Tani (Dennis) Crego, Coloma, Rick (Linda) Frozene and Thomas (Penny) Frozene, both of Westfield, Pam (Troy) Kuhn, WI Rapids, Kari Johnson and Rickey Bruley, both of Nekoosa, Todd Hitchcock, Janesville; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one sister, Charlotte Warren; two brothers, William and Hollis Bandt; two sisters in law, Sally Bandt and Elsie Procknow; brother in law, Ernest Strey; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lila was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Thelma (Robert) Bruley; grandson, William Bruley; four sisters, Violet, Carol, Marie and Joyce; four brothers, Arnold, Rudy, Russell and Donald.
A funeral service for Lila will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating. Burial will be in Prince of Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Coloma. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
