Leona Zuehlke

Biography Leona V. Zuehlke, age 89 of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Montello Care Center. She was born on January 3, 1922 in the Town of Harris, daughter of the late Gustav and Ella (Zellmer) Prochnow. Leona married Wilbert Zuehlke on June 26, 1940 in Westfield. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1982.
Survivors include four children, Wayne (Linda) Zuhlke, Waupun, Karlene (Dennis) Briese, Montello, Kay (Curtis) Smith, Madison and Beverly (Tim) Bisbee, Poynette; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; other relatives and friends. Leona was preceded in death by her son, Harlan; two brothers, Arthur and Emil Prochnow.
A funeral service for Leona will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Rev. Dale Bahls officiating. Burial will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
