Leatrice Kloiber

Leatrice L. Kloiber, age 71 of Westfield, passed away quietly after a short illness on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at UW Hospital, Madison. She was born on October 4, 1937 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Marcus and Lucille (Resheske) Hammerseng. Leatrice married David L. Kloiber on May 2, 1959. Leatrice worked for the Telephone Co. in Oshkosh for 23 years. She and her husband David bought and operated Wood Lake Resort together for more than 7 years with their family. Leatrice also worked for Power Packer in Westfield until 1998, at which time she took early retirement to care for her husband.
Leatrice is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David; three children, Debra (Bill) Steinfort, Dean (Lila) Kloiber and Daniel (Kimberly) Kloiber; four grandchildren, Devin Steinfort, Aron (Amber) Steinfort, Natalie Kloiber and Nathan Kloiber; one great granddaughter, Valkyria Steinfort, all of Coloma; one sister, Carla Peterson, Oshkosh; one brother, Dennis (Marilyn) Hammerseng, MN; one sister in law, Lois Hammerseng, Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and very good friends. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Lee Hammerseng; two sisters, Phyllis (Roy) Koch and Lorraine (Franklin) Haffman and one nephew, Kelly Koch.
A memorial mass for Leatrice will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Westfield with Rev. Michael Richel officiating. Inurnment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Township of Springfield. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
