Kenneth W. Peters, age 86 of Montello, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born on April 30, 1928 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Fred and Adell (Simon) Peters. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WW II and Korea. Ken married Eloise Witencamp in June of 1954 in Crown Point, IN. He worked at Nimphius Boats in Neshkoro and Senior Engineering in Berlin. Ken was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed feeding his birds, working in the yard and in his flower garden. He also loved his pets.

Survivors include his three children, Karen Peters, Montello, Keith (Lynn) Peters, Berlin and Lee (Sheri) Peters, Ripon; three grandchildren, Jackie (Nate) Kollmann, Oakfield, Katie (fiancé, Jerrid) Peters, West Bend and Leeann Peters, Berlin; three great grandchildren, Noah, Olivia and Alex Kollmann; one sister, Beverly Kemnitz, Westfield; other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother and two sisters.

A funeral service for Ken will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Rev. Gary H. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Neshkoro Village Cemetery on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with full military honors presented by the United States Air Force and American Legion Post #351 of Montello. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
