Jimmy Cavanaugh Sr

Jimmy Cavanaugh Sr., age 66 of Westfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at home. He was born on June 6, 1950 in the Town of Lincoln, Adams County to Floyd and Beatrice (Stevens) Cavanaugh. Jimmy attended Lincoln Grade School and graduated from Adams-Friendship High School. He married Geraldine Schliepp on September 26, 1970 in Westfield. Jimmy was a jack of all trades and held several jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed dancing, woodworking, working on anything with a motor, watching Westerns on TV, visiting with family, friends and his favorite neighbor and riding and working on his Harley.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; two children, Jennifer (Timmothy) Paukstat, Milwaukee and Jimmy (Melinda) Cavanaugh Jr., Westfield; seven grandchildren, Jimmy III, Serita, Destiny, Jonnathan, Earl, Samara and Abel; four sisters, Shirley Morgan, Caroline (Rick) Premo, Carol Jean (Keith) Owen and Priscilla (Douglas) Felix; two brothers, Freddie (Connie) and Jerry (Shirley) Cavanaugh; sister in law, Becky Cavanaugh; many other relatives and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his dad; mom; and step dad, Bill Kemnitz; sister, Mary (Skip) Starling; brother, Melvin Cavanaugh Sr. and brother in law, Wayne Morgan Sr.

A visitation for Jimmy will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield.

A funeral service for Jimmy will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Joan Frost officiating. Burial will be in Westfield East Cemetery.
