Jerry Hodge Sr.

Jerry E. Hodge Sr., age 66 of Westfield, passed away peacefully from complications of a stroke with his loving family by his side on Friday, February 9, 2018 at UW Hospital in Madison.  He was born on November 20, 1951 in Fort Atkinson, WI to Oscar and Marie (Elsworth) Hodge.  Jerry married Marie Henke on November 30, 1970 in Montello.  He worked at Brakebush Brothers for many years, followed by the Portage Landfill, Meridian Group and CAP Services.  Jerry enjoyed plowing snow, mowing grass, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.  He was best known for always lending a helping hand to those that needed it.

Survivors include his wife, Marie; three children, Tracy (Matt) Hodge-Raimer, Jerry (Teresa) Hodge Jr. and Stacy (Scott) Hodge; seven grandchildren, Corbin, Skyler, Grayson, Keagan, Eyon, Madalynn and Nolan; two sisters, Edith Herron and Dorothy McKeel; twin brother, Larry (Judy) Hodge; mother in law, Verla (Eldon) Bengsch; two brothers in law, Dave (Carla) and Ron (Jean) Henke; four sisters in law, Linda Whitrock, Becky Rose, Kay (Ed) Nelson and Zeta Henke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; two brothers, Oscar “Bud” and David Hodge; two sisters, Lillian (Herbie) Duesterhoeft and Violet (Kenneth) Land; father in law, Gerhardt Henke; three brothers in law, Roger Herron, Clayton McKeel and Donald Henke.

Per Jerry’s wishes, no formal service will be held.  A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Town of Springfield.
