Jerome Zuelke

Jerome Allen Zuelke, age 85 of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.  He was born on November 13, 1932 in the Town of Newton to Ervin and Pearl (Berry) Zuelke.  Jerome married Vonda Rae Gustin on March 7, 1953 in Budsin.  He farmed in the Town of Newton all of his life and worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for 40 years.  Jerome was baptized, confirmed and was an elder and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Newton.  He enjoyed life on the farm, working outside and traveling.  Jerome will be remembered as a loving husband and father.  He was a kind and generous man who loved visiting with family, friends and shut-ins.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Vonda Rae; five children, Susan (James) Schurk, Daniel, David, Andrew and Paul (Kelly) Zuelke; three grandchildren, Danielle, Olivia and Henry Zuelke; one great granddaughter, Quinn; one brother, DuWayne (Jean) Zuelke; two sisters in law, Betty Zuelke and Yvonne Dunaway; other relatives and many friends.  Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Marvin Zuelke.

A visitation for Jerome will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield and on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newton.

A funeral service for Jerome will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newton with Rev. Thomas Mickelson officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Newton.  Memorials would be appreciated to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
