Janice "Jan" Fowler

Janice “Jan” M. Fowler, age 83 of Harrisville, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Harris Villa Assisted Living in Westfield.  She was born on July 5, 1937 in Madison, WI to Andrew and Molly (Gilbertson) Gullickson.  Jan married William “Bill” Fowler on March 12, 1960 in Dubuque, Iowa.  She worked at Krogers in Madison for several years and for the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department for 21 years, retiring in 2003.  Jan loved being outside tending to her yard and flower gardens.

Jan is survived by her two children, Steve (Sandy), Harrisville and Diane (Chris) Fowler, FL; one granddaughter, Christina Fowler; two great grandchildren, Cindy and Gideon Fowler; two brothers in law, Patrick and James Fowler; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David; two brothers, Marland and Grant Gullickson; one sister, Helen Truehl and special niece, Wendy Fowler.

A memorial service for Jan will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Harrisville with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating.  A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. John Lutheran Church, Harrisville.
