James Thalacker

James E. Thalacker, age 60 of Westfield, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007 at the V.A. Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 9, 1946 in Portage, son of Arden and Grace (Kanneman) Thalacker. Jim served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He served his community by being active in the Westfield Lions Club, Westfield Volunteer Fire Department and Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Marquette County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping out a friend.
Survivors include his mother, Grace Thalacker, Westfield; two sisters, Nellene (Ken) Mittelsteadt, Oregon, Jana Tipton, WA; three brothers, Mark (Joyce), MN, David (Jeannie), Lake Delton and Rick (Cyndi), Westfield; other relatives and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Arden.
A funeral service for Jim will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery with full military honors. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of service at the church.
