James Rickels

James H. Rickels, age 67 of Montello, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at his home. He was born on July 11, 1940 in Milwaukee, son of the late Herbert and Florence (Hollmann) Rickels. Jim married Shirley (Sieber) Gearhard on November 22, 1980 in Milwaukee. He worked for Advance Transportation, Milwaukee for 27 years. Jim moved to the Montello area in 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Kathryn (Shane) Bunney, Milwaukee; step son, Nicholas (Barbara) Gearhard, Germantown; step son in law, Mike Cook, Montello; three grandchildren, Mykal, James and Matthew Bunney; three step grandchildren, Larry Zarling, Connie and Jessi Cook; two step great grandchildren, James and Joshua Zarling; three sisters, Judy (Robert) Gosseck, Milwaukee, Shirley (James) Wenzel, Brookfield and Janie (James) Eigenfeld, Hartland; other relatives and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by a step daughter, Kathleen Cook and special friend Ray Schuster.
A funeral service for Jim will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Packwaukee with Rev. Brian Rohde officiating. Following traditional services Jim will be cremated. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
