James Dean Buschke, age 54 of Friendship, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He was born on March 18, 1957 in Wild Rose to Neoma (nee Buschke) Schwersenska. Jim spent his younger years being raised by his grandparents, Theodore and Celia Buschke. He attended school in Westfield, graduating in 1975. Jim worked as a truck driver for several companies throughout the years. He loved to go hunting, fishing and enjoy the outdoors.
Survivors include his mom, Neoma Schwersenska, Westfield; two children, Sara (Tommy) Marso and James T. Buschke, both of Portage; two grandchildren, Sadie and Logan Marso; three sisters, Valerie (Doug) Scheuers, Ripon, Vickie (Mark) Arnett, Wausau and Lisa Mills, Coloma; eight step sisters and brothers; special friend, Kathy Luke, New Lisbon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents; step father, Marlin Schwersenska; aunt, Stella Goldsmith; uncle, Gerhardt “Smokey” Henke and cousin, Donald Henke.
A funeral service for Jim will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield with Rev. Blaine Niskanen officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Following the traditional services, Jim will be cremated and inurnment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Town of Springfield, Marquette County at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family.
