Isabel Guderski

Isabel “Izzie” Guderski, age 96 of Harrisville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Harris Villa of Westfield. She was born on April 9, 1919 on Ash Grove Farm east of Harrisville to John and Martha (Petruske) Krentz. Isabel lived on the family farmstead on County Road J her entire life except for several years during which Stanley & Isabel married and farmed near Berlin. Three sons were added to the family; Bob, Gary and Allen. They returned to the family farm in 1946. Isabel worked at Sky Lodge near Montello and at BenDeano’s Supper Club in Montello. During this time she shared with Stanley all the farm chores and housework a farm required.

Stanley operated a thriving milk hauling business eventually owning four bulk milk trucks. Isabel was a full business partner keeping all the accounts.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Anne), Montello, Gary, New York City; two grandchildren, Mark “Sparky” Guderski, Montello, Beth (Mike) McBurney and great granddaughter, Marisa McBurney all of Austin, TX; many other relatives and friends. Isabel was preceded in death by Stanley; son, Allen; daughter-in-law, Ruth; grandson, Ron Kemner and four siblings.

Mother, Ma, Gramma and Busha, thanks for all the wonderful stories and good country cooking. Rest well.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Isabel will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello with Father Tim Renz officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Montello. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Harris Villa, N6581 Villa Parkway, Westfield, WI 53964.
