Irma Ahles

Irma M. Ahles, age 89 of Westfield, was peacefully called to heaven, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She was born on October 15, 1925 to Harvey and Ida (Borreson) Wallert. On April 15, 1967, Irma married Vernon E. Ahles. Together they ran two businesses; a restaurant, the Ahles Café in Blair, WI for three years and the Ahles Grocery in Chetek, WI for six years. Irma then went to work at Wright Products in Rice Lake, WI for 12 years. Following, the two moved to Westfield and began their retirement in 1988. She very much enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing and most of all being with her family.

Irma will be deeply missed by her son, Rick (Cindy) Ahles, Westfield; brother, William (Marilyn) Wallert, North Carolina; grandchildren, Amanda and Aaron Ahles; brother in law, Carroll Ahles; niece, Melanie Wallert and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and two brothers.

With her passing, Irma is now at peace. But most importantly, she is surely, as she frequently said, “A-Okay”.

According to Irma’s wishes no service will be held. Inurnment will be in Mosinee, WI at a later date.
