Irenee Zuhlke

Irenee M. Zuhlke, age 84 of Westfield, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo. She was born on April 2, 1926 in Chicago daughter of the late Walter and Rose (McCarthy) Fritsch. Irenee loved to crochet, knit and quilt. She and her family enjoyed camping and traveling. Irenee and Elgin enjoyed going to Florida for the winter for many years. They also enjoyed square dancing together. Irenee was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Westfield
Irenee will be forever remembered and loved by her best friend and soul mate for 64 ½ years, her husband, Elgin; three children, Keith (Char) Zuhlke, Harvard, IL, Sherri (Steve) Cutts, Walworth, WI and Mike (Colleen) Zuhlke, Yucca Valley, CA; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Janel) Cutts, Tiffiney (Chris Meusling) Cutts, Jason and Sarah Zuhlke and Michelle (Jeremiah) Johnson; four great grandchildren, Josh and Arwen Meusling and Damian and Angel Zuhlke; sister in law, Mary Ellen Fritsch; many other relatives and friends. Irenee was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia (Fritsch) Wozniewski; brother, James Fritsch.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Irenee will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Westfield with Rev. Michael Richel officiating. Inurnment will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Harvard, IL at a later date. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at church. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Clare Hospice House, Baraboo.
