Herbert Briese

Herbert A. Briese, age 89 of the Town of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at his home.  He was born on June 9, 1932 to Edward and Tillie (Duesterhoeft) Briese.  Herb married Bernice Wentland on October 25, 1955 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Springfield.  He lived in the Town of Springfield his entire life and worked on the family farm.  Herb loved gardening, hunting and fishing.  He was a father to all and he will be dearly missed.

Herb is survived by his two daughters, Karen (Dale) Robinson and Paula (Gary) Potter, both of Town of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Sue) Briese; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; daughter and son in law, Trish and William Meiller; two sisters, Isabel Kemnitz and Eldena Wruck and his brother, Darwin Briese.

A visitation for Herb will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Vicar Matthew Walsh officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Town of Springfield.
