Hazel Ramey

Hazel M. Ramey, age 95 of Westfield and formerly of Richmond, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Harris Villa Assisted Living in Westfield.  She was born on June 16, 1923 in Galax, Virginia to Beacham and Myrtle (LaRue) Bailey.  Hazel loved gardening, canning, sewing and especially her family.

Survivors include her three children, Joyce (Dana) Miller, Bill (Chris) Roberts and Jesse (Faye) Roberts; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Roberts; four sisters; three brothers and her husbands, Frank Roberts and Luther Ramey.

A graveside service for Hazel will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Harrisville Cemetery, Town of Harris.  A family memorial gathering was held.

“Ramey Doll” was very loved by everyone who took care of her at Harris Villa over the years and she loved all of them back just as much.
