Harley V. Floeter, age 83 of Westfield, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL. He was born on December 21, 1923, Township of Newton, son of the late Albert and Anna (Guenther) Floeter. Harley married Annabelle Hanson on May 4, 1946 in Portage, she preceded him in death on March 24, 2003. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of VFW Post #8718, Westfield. Harley always needed to keep himself busy by doing something, he enjoyed painting and farming.
Harley is survived by three children, Penny (Mark) Stone, Rockton, IL, Steven (Sharon) Floeter, Loves Park, IL, Lisa (Matt) Olsen, Schofield; six grandchildren, Brian and David Stone, Amanda Hurd, Mackenzie Floeter, Derek and Tyler Olsen; two great grandchildren, Nikolas Adolphson and Skyler Hanvy; one sister, Bernice Muehrer, Milwaukee; special friends, Joan and Dan Bude and Leonard Wilson; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Harley will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery with full military honors. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
