Gertrude Jordan

Biography Gertrude M. Jordan, age 89 of Oxford, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1919 in Omro, WI, daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude (Broun) Grimmer. Gertrude was married to Harry Doberstein. From that union came two daughters, Josephine and Jeraldine. She was then married to Herman A. Jordan in 1949. From that union came one daughter, Jacqueline. Herman preceded her in death on December 24, 2006. Gertrude enjoyed baking bread, crocheting and her many pets.
Survivors include her three daughters, Josephine Morstatter, LaCrosse, Jeraldine Doberstein, Oxford and Jacqueline Jordan, Oxford; three grandchildren, Tim (Laurie), Tom (Michelle) and Mat Morstatter; ten great grandchildren; special friends, Chris, Nikki and Roland, Pam and Mike, Meghan and Lexi, and many other friends who helped her fulfill her dreams these last two years; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta and Florence and two brothers, Bob and Harry.
A funeral service for Gertrude will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield with Pastor Michael Amberg officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Township of Packwaukee. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Home Health United Hospice, Portage.
