Gerhard "Gary" Hudson Wooten

Gerhard “Gary” Hudson Wooten, age 61 of Westfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was born on December 30, 1962 in Milwaukee to John and Judith (Meister) Wooten. Gary met Dawn (Witz) LaVake in January of 1988 and they married on August 23, 2002. He lived a very full life and never took anything for granted. Gary and Dawn were always on the go and going to rock concerts was always a necessity each year. He loved his music, wearing tie dye T-shirts and his family, especially the grandkids.

Gary is survived by his wife, Dawn; step-son, Aaron LaVake; step-daughter, Jessica (Cody) Wetzel; five grandchildren, Adam, Keean, Junior, Ashton and Kinley; step-mother, Rovertia Wooten; step-brother, Troy Rappa; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield. No formal service will be held following the visitation.
