Fred Wolf

Fred Wolf, age 71 of Westfield, formerly of Chicago, passed away following a long illness on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at his home on Lawrence Lake.  He was born on June 17, 1950 in Chicago to Eugene and Elizabeth (Muenchow) Wolf.  Fred married Becky Protich on January 20, 1984 in Illinois.  He worked in the industrial supply business for 43 years, working his way from the warehouse as a teenager to management.  Fred came to Westfield as a weekender in 1998 and a full-time resident in 2011.  His happiest days were spent with his friends and neighbors on Lawrence Lake and at Tall Pines Resort.  Fred loved his Chicago Bears, the company of his family, friends and his Old Style beer.  He worked hard and played hard.  Fred was loving, loyal and very private.  One of his favorite quotes was “when in doubt throw it out”

Fred is survived by his wife of 37 years, Becky; two sons, Dwane (Cathy) and Joe (Heather); three grandchildren, Thomas, Taylor and Tyler; brother, Richard (Jeannie Feist); nephew, Scott Methling and many dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lois Methling.

According to Fred’s wishes, no formal service will be held.  A celebration for Fred will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Tall Pines Resort during the Bear/Packer game…GO BEARS!!!
