Evelyn Otto

Evelyn A. Otto, age 90 of Westfield, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Maple Ridge Elderly Care, Portage. She was born on June 8, 1918, Township of Springfield, daughter of the late Herman and Clara (Jahnke) Wachholz. Evelyn married John A. Otto on April 9, 1939, Township of Springfield, he preceded her in death on June 5, 1999. She worked at Brakebush Brothers for over 35 years. Evelyn liked to garden and she loved her flowers.
Survivors include her son, Gail (Linda) Otto, Lodi; two grandsons, Nicholas and Timothy Otto; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Rose Ann Otto and her twin sister, Irene Mittelsteadt.
A funeral service for Evelyn will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Vicar Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
