Ellenor Foerster

Ellenor M. Foerster, age 89 of Westfield, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, September 4, 2009 at Divine Savior Extended Care, Portage. She was born on May 1, 1920 in Chicago, daughter of the late Halford and Eva (Calcott) Rigsby. Ellenor married Elmer Foerster on December 24, 1938 in Chicago, he preceded her in death on November 8, 1982. After she raised her family, Ellenor wanted to complete her high school degree. She graduated as Valedictorian from McHenry High School in 1972. Ellenor had a love of flying, music, playing guitar, sewing and crafting, but most of all spending time with her large family.
Survivors include her six children, Mary Crago, Farmington, NM, James (Mary Ann) Foerster, Elgin, IL, Walter (Janet) Foerster, Belvidere, IL, Eva (Leon) Krause, Belvidere, IL, Georgia (Ron) Wuteska, Idaho Falls, ID, Rick (Rusty) Foerster, South Beloit, IL; son in law, Vern Foat, Westfield; 23 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Rigsby, Chicago, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ellenor was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Foat, son in law, Curtis L. Crago; grandson, Curtis C. Crago and other relatives.
A funeral service for Ellenor will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Westfield with Rev. Ron Riemer officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Township of Springfield. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
