Elizabeth Wainwright

Elizabeth Wainwright, age 89 of Westfield, formerly of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Harris Villa, Township of Harris. She was born on August 18, 1917 in Portage, daughter of the late John W. and Mary (Smith) Rodger of Endeavor. Elizabeth married John T. Hamilton on August 25, 1935. She was later married to Robert L. Wainwright, he preceded her in death on May 25, 1981. Elizabeth was an elementary school teacher in Pine Lake, Oxford, Portage and Henderson, NV for over 50 years. She moved to Henderson, NV in 1949 and returned to Wisconsin in 2006 for health reasons. Elizabeth enjoyed world traveling, animals and wild life, sewing and needle point and a love of playing bingo.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Huber, Pleasant Prairie; one son, John (Sharon) Hamilton, Westfield; three grandchildren, Margaret (William) Koepsel, IL, John (Nancy) Huber, IL and Pat (Tammy) Hamilton, Westfield; three great grandchildren, William Koepsel, Elsbeth and Emma Hamilton; one brother, Bruce Rodger, FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
A funeral service for Elizabeth will be held on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, Westfield with Pastor Joe Adkins officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Township of Westfield. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.
