Eileen Williams

Eileen Marion Williams (nee Hacker), age 83, of Westfield, WI (formerly of Winthrop Harbor, IL) went home to be with the Lord surrounded by the singing of family and friends on Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was born July 29, 1930 in Waukegan, IL to William and Marion (Meisenheimer) Hacker.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Zetterman, and one son, Jim Williams. On May 19, 1951 Eileen married Robert (Bob) Williams with whom she shared 36 wonderful years of marriage before the Lord called Bob home in 1987.

She is survived by her children, Judy (Leon) Grubb of Zion, IL, Larry (Jackie) Williams of Byron, IL, Don (Robin) Williams of Oxford, WI. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren Elisabeth (Sean) Gray, Robby and Billy Williams, Robert and Samantha Williams, Jonah, Noah, Elijah, Micah and Mercy Williams and 2 great-grandchildren Jaina and Hadassah Gray, and numerous friends and relatives.

Eileen was a special wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose gift of helps and hospitality she lovingly shared with many people. She was member of Marquette Community Church in Montello, WI and a former member of Wesley Church in Waukegan, IL where she served various roles as a Sunday school teacher, kitchen worker and leader of the senior group. Sharing Christ’s love to others was important to her and she blessed many with her baked goods and numerous special hugs. Eileen was a knitter and crafter, an avid reader and baker. She also served as a Cub Scout den mother, a Girl Scout leader and fan of the many sports in which her children and grandchildren participated. She retired in 1992 after working 22 years as a clerk for Olson Oil in Waukegan, IL. The family is especially thankful for the numerous caregivers that lovingly cared for Eileen over her last few years.

A funeral service for Eileen will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Marquette Community Church, Montello with Pastor Kirt Schmidt officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Marquette Community Church, 610 Doty St., Montello, WI 53949.
