Edward “Eddie” Borzick of Harrisville, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at a rich old age of 93 years at Harris Villa Assisted Living in Westfield. He was the eleventh of twelve children born to Frank Borzick and Rose Kasierski on March 4, 1925. Eddie was raised on the family farm in Harris Township, Marquette County. He served in the United States Army from 1945-1948, then came home to help his father on the farm. Eddie also worked for the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department and Westfield School District as a bus driver and custodian. He was a member of the Harris Volunteer Fire Department.
Eddie married Helen Krueger on June 27, 1953. Together they raised and he is survived by ten children, five girls and five boys, Patricia (Tom) Katz, Neshkoro, Barbara (Donald) Lang, Montello, David (Sally) Borzick, Montello, Katherine (Robin) Buchholz, Oxford, Kenneth (Cheryl) Borzick, Montello, James (Pam) Borzick, Shadyside, OH, Robert Borzick, Neshkoro, Ann (Perry) Drew, Westfield, Mary (Scott)Pitta, Wisconsin Dells and John (Lisa) Borzick, Montello; twenty-four grandchildren, Brett (Kathy) Schlieve, Nathan (Kirstin) Schlieve, Alex (Katie) Schlieve, Susanne (James) Snow, Daniel Lang, Virginia Fetzer, Melissa Borzick Bittleman, Lindsay (Tim) Patten, Kelsey Borzick, Jessica (James) Starr, Joseph (Amy) Buchholz, Wesley (Brittney) Buchholz, Christa (Paul) Van Treeck, Ashley (James) Henke, Matthew (Amanda) Borzick, Jacob (Morgan) Borzick, Jeremiah, Rachel and Zachery Borzick, Nicole (Derek) Hepburn, Kyle (Sarah) Drew, Samantha Pitta, Monica and Derek Borzick; thirty-six great grandchildren, Jack, Gabriel, Payton, Wyatt and Rowen Schlieve, Porter, Aubrie, Emerson, Joslynn and Cora Snow, Ryan and Adam Bittleman, Maverick and Ruger Patten, Kenzie Borzick and Jasper Steuck, Aubrey, Easton and Keagan Starr, Tiffany, Desiree, RaeAnne, Bradley, Eli, Claire and Ava Buchholz, Haiden, Nolan and Annalyse Van Treeck, Brody, Rilynn and Milo Henke, Aeirth and Wesley Borzick, Brooke Hepburn and Colin Drew; one sister, Bernice Mittelstedt, Harrisville; one brother-in law, S. J. "Van" Van Hoose, Beloit and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; three brothers, Andrew, Walter and William Borzick; seven sisters, Josephine Pinkowski, Monica Giguere, Isabelle Piasecki, Ceil Isaacs, Dorothy McKeracher, Vernie Van Hoose, and Margaret Polivka and two infant grandsons, Jason Schlieve and James Lang.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Eddie will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Borzick Family Farm, W4247 Elk Ave., Harrisville. A private family Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Full military honors were held following the mass at the church.
